U.S. Census Bureau (www.census.gov):

Fertility of American Women
Reports and tables from 1994 to most recent. Reports include information on total births and percentage of childless women plus selected data on maternal age, rates of childbearing, mothers’ education and workforce participation, etc. Index.

Child Care
Information on child care costs and arrangements are collected on an intermittent basis in the Survey of Income and Program Participation. Reports and tables from 1993 to most recent. Index.

Families and Living Arrangements
Demographic characteristics of households and families are collected annually in the March Current Population Survey (CPS) for the Nation. Reports and detailed tables from recent surveys.
